We are Dr. Brendan & Elaine Martin, a husband & wife team raising black Angus cattle in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We believe that the cattle business is all about relationships and we can’t wait to work with you.
Cattle & embryos.
We raise Angus cattle - aka the “Business Breed” for a reason. We need cows who perform well on fescue and minimal inputs. We need them to breed back, calve a live calf, and wean a big healthy calf. These calves are then asked to be gentle, grow efficiently, and top the grids on the rail.
We select for calving ease, docility, grow, and carcass merit on paper.
We select for feet, composition, and muscle in phenotype.
Donor boarding & flushing.
Do you have a genetically superior female but no way to get her flushed? We offer donor cow boarding, setup, and flushing and are accepting females year-round.
About Us.
We are multi-generational farmers, starting our first-generation farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We both grew up on farms and have a big passion for Angus cattle. You could say it’s in our blood…
